About Me

Carel is an admitted attorney with an LLB degree who has found a true passion for helping people make confident financial decisions. He started his career in financial services as a Legal Adviser, later qualifying as a Certified Financial Planner® and becoming a Financial Planner six years later. He’s spent the past 19 years guiding clients through every stage of their financial planning journey. As the Lead Financial Planner at Fairbairn Consult Financial Planning in Cape Town, his focus is on providing unbiased, holistic advice that’s practical, personal, and designed around what truly matters to his clients.

My Approach

He is fascinated by how good financial planning can change lives — helping people live with purpose, protect what matters most, and build a lasting legacy. Every plan he creates is tailored to his clients goals and life story, not just the numbers.
